2 the State. I put in a day at St Louis. The Exhibition was not nearly finished but I saw the arrangement and had a rest
at the same time. My cabin companion in the illegible Lucania was an acquaintance on the illegible Siberia Major Radcliff.
He turned out to be a very pleasant companion indeed. I had two friends from Glasgow on board so the seven days passed pleasantly
enough- It was very stormy but as usual I escaped seasickness- I guess you will now be settled down again and glad of the
change. Next week I shall mail you some shortbread which I hope will reach you in good order. With kind regards and again
many thanks for your kindness. Yours sincerely Audr. McLeannan P.S. My degree for the Tay illegible an College has not
yet arrived. (He may be purchasing parchment) I must therefore just add 'W.F.D. which will represent ' waiting for degree'.
