Description:
Water flooded the Brisbane Village shopping center. At the height of the storm, which took place on January 4-5 1982, Brisbane
was almost completely isolated. Old County Road, the main route into the city, was under water. Residents from the Mozzetti
Auto and Trailer Court had to be rescued by boat. Many lost everything and were put up in motels by the Red Cross until they
could find places to live. Mud came off of San Bruno Mountain and blocked streets. Residents helped to clear debris and mud
from streets so cars could pass.
