Iartinez, Cal.August 3,1911. Dear Papa: After I wrote to you yesterday I got to thinking about you starting out alone
on your long trip in a strange land and it worried me awfully, it dont seem right for youto go alone, you ought to have come
one with you to make traveling easier.I talked it over with Buel last night and we have both decided that if you want him
to go with you there is no reason why you should not have him.He can look after your baggabe and tickets and see about all
the little thing that bother you in traveling, and you will have some one to keep you from getting lonesome. Think it over,
and if you want hira telegraph. It will be a big load off my mind, for I dont want to think of you away off there all alone
and I will worry all the time you are gone. Dont think I cant get along without Buel, for tho of course it will be awfully
lonecome I feel tliat you really need him -just now more than I do. I will go to Los Angeles and stay there till he gets back.
The boy is do perfectly well and strong, and so am I that we can get along Iall right. And then we will 'we near a doctor
in case we need one, and can got anything needed. We have said nothing to Wanda or Tom about this. Now do think it over,
and if you feel that Buels going will in any way help you or make you happier remember that we both want, you to have him
along, and that I am only too glad if lay my giving him up for a little while I am helping you. Always lovingly illegible
