AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY NEW YORK OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT FOR THE PEOPLE FOR EDUCATION FOR SCIENCE 4 December,
1912 My dear Mr. Muir: We have all been reading with delight the first article in the November Atlantic and are looking
for the second instalment in the December number. You had so many misgivings about the interest in these articles that I am
sure you will be delighted to know that we all enjoyed it vastly, and I have heard many outsiders express the same opinion.
We all continue well and happy and send you our Thanksgiving greetings and love. Always faithfully yours, illegible Mr.
John Muir.05312
