1 letterhead May 31 12 noon Dear babies Wanda Helen. I came here last night on the special train the most velvety
soft superb train I ever saw. John Burroughs was the first to greet me in the crowd. I Have been shaking hands ever since
The party are exceptionally good natured for scientists Not a single fight Yet Brewer is hale? hearty as ever He alone might
be trusted to keep all calm harmonious. He has a regular peace-be-still face. Fernow is very jolly. Fernow the botantist such

sail this evening I wish you all could be with me We will go to Glacier Bay perhaps up the Stickeen a days journey all details
of visits to different points are settled by committees etc The lectures are the only things that bother me. I'm down for
