My dear Muir: We have just had a note from C. D. Robinson asking us whether we would like to have an illustrated article
on the regions which he has visited and sketched in the different Yosemites of California. I have told him frankly that we
should be glad to see a selection of illustrations but that we should want to have the text written by you, after which,if
he desired, his other sketches and material could be used elsewhere. I presume that you are familiar with his sketches and
the ground covered. What we should like to know is whether a fresh and impressive looking article could be made on this general
subject. Please let us hear from you. Of course we do not wish to interfere with the preparation of your Autobiography, which
we understand is well under way. What a long time it has been since I have heard from you My family are all well. The young
