1 letterhead typed Sequoia, Cal. July 9 1906 Dear Papa- From Tuolumne where I wrote to Helen from last, we went
to Headquarters Camp on Cherry River and from there to Lake Eleanor and now we are at Crockers on our way to Yosemite. We
are having a glorious trip, just going where we want to, when we want to with out any definite plans, and camping wherever
we happen to be. I had the best time of all at Lake Eleanor. I'll be so glad when you and Helen can get up here in the pines
again. It doesn't seem possible that your desert is better for any one than this pine fragrant air. I wish you could come
up here this fall or to the Lake. There, there is a nice clean cottage that Helen could stay in if it rained, and as many
trout as any one can eat, and fine piney air, and the beautiful clear lake with the snow 08541
