dear John that you have had much to tire you but that you are enjoying your trip and have seen such grand forests and glaciers

they will tell you the news about home and the valley. David seems real well. Ette about as usual. Mr and Mrs Westlake are
not 3 so well. May illegible Arthur and Miriam are well Mrs John Foster of Los Angeles was here a day. She came to see
me a little while She looks well and is the same frank, good woman she ever was. I enjoyed seeing her. I have been quite
sick but am better now. I miss you John but the time is passing and as long as you are well, and your studies pleasant and
