My dear Muir;-- I wouldn't think of going with the Cannon party if you are not to be in it. That was the only thing that
made me hanker to arrange my impossible plans so as to go along; because I would really like to see you and the Cannon in
conjunction. I hope that it will come about some time; and the way you mention is of course far the best of all--just we two
together. Although if there were three or four strictly congenial people 1 would not mind, and it is likeliest that when I
go again it will be that way. Then, when we get at it, we will make a round-up, and go not only the main 02994
