4 out yet. The Catalpa and Russian Mulberry trees look very bad. The potatoes have sprouted up again and the other vegetables
are all right. We are so sheltered here things are not so much hurt as in the country. We had a visit a short time since
from Anna with her two children, she is pretty well. Kenneth is growing quite a boy, fond of investigating as he has opportunity.
Little Marjorie is a dear wee girlie just eight weeks old. She has blue eyes, quite a contrast to Kenneth. Grace has been
staying with Anna for some time. Hiram has been traveling for a Publishing house, and so is not at home very much 5 3
if he likes the business, and can do better than farming in that way, he may continue. if not, he can go back to the old work.
He has not sold his stock. Celia is attending the Commercial College here, is taking a business course and enjoys it very
much she works hard as she helps me about the house work as well. Mr. Mrs. Foster also Jeanie think of going to California
in the fall. I do not know whether they intend to make there home there or only visit for a time. I have not seen Maggie since
