Martinez, Dec 1912 Harry Randall, Dear old work-mate and fellow-traveler of the auld lang syne Yosemite days I'm very
glad to get your kind New Year greetings showing that you have not forgotten me. You should visit Yosemite after all these
years. None you knew are left--Galen Clark, Hutchings, Leidig, George Kenney all dead, but the Valley itself is changed very
little You remember that long rough walk down the Canyon. You would enjoy riding through it on a railroad. Heartily wishing
a happy New Year I am faithfully your friend John Muir 05307
