4 school work, Anna has a lot of chickens to look after as well as her house work. Cecilia was well at her last writing
but Grace still suffers from rheumatism. it is a kind that seemingly cannot be cured but comes and goes. David and Ette are
in usual helth and busy with the every day things about the place too. Miss Thayer will come in and occupy Anna's rooms here
while her own house is rented which will be soon likely. I shall hope to hear that you are well. Affectionately Sarah.
1 Pacific Grove, Calif. May 28 - 1914 My dear brother John:- It seems a long time since I have heard from you, but
I suppose that you are still very busy with your writing, and perhaps you will be going away after a while for your vacation
which will do you good after your long steady work. Things will be beautiful about your home these days with so much bloom
of many kinds. Our garden here is very pretty too, It seems as Remember to Wanda and family - also to Helen when you write.
