marked Indianapolis letters Berkeley, Cal., Jan. 4th, '95. Dear Mr. Muir, Your letter came yesterday just as Miss Thompson
had left. I did want her to see you. May I not bring her up some bright Sunday? She's rare, an old friend of Miss Eliza's
and Aunt Kate's, and one whom we all love. Yes, do write to Janet a little letter, she needs the cheer which comes from friendly
thought. Her address is 946 N. Penn St., Indianapolis. The family now lives in the beautiful new house which Charles bought.
Aunt Kate has given up coming this winter. Her address is 227 N. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis, Ind. Any remembrance of yours
will please her. School opens next Monday and the grind begins, but I am grateful that this term is at hand, for its close
brings home. I think I shall get through all right. With love to the family, I am, Sincerely yours, Katharine Merrill
