illegible Feb. 20. 1909. John Muir. Esq., Dear Mr. Muir: We are just in receipt of your letter of the 12th inst. and
are gratified, to know that you will see what you can do about bringing Our National Parks up to date. As our plan is to bring
the book out early in the fall, we hope that it will be feasible for yon to give us the copy with your changes and additions
by the 1st of May or thereabouts. You have our heartiest wishes for your success in defeating the Hectch-Hetchy scheme.
Yours very truly, Houghton Mifflin Company. 3
