1 letterhead New York, June 7, 1893 My dear Wanda, I think I wrote to Helen last so now it must be your turn. I m disappointed
not getting any letters here except the ones sent to Portage forwarded, one I think from mama. Tell mama she need not be afraid
of letters addressed c/o? of the Century, for if I m in Europe when they get here Mr Johnson will forward them. It has been
very hot here I felt all the time as if somebody has rubbed the inside of my underclothes with very sticky molasses. The papers
said that the day before yesterday was the hottest 5th of June
