Martinez, March 21, 1894, My dear Mr Johnson. I'm sorry to learn through the notice you sent me that Mr Osborne is dead.
Never shall I forget the day spent at their beautiful home on the Hudson hills into which you led me. Please convey to Mrs.
Osborne my kindest rememberances when next you see her. I spent two pleasant days a week or two ago with Sargent Canby They
spent a night at our house and I drove them through the Pecheco and an Ignacio Valleys in search of trees This of course brought
back the grand days we spent at Brookline Where is Tesla? Is he coming to California? Mrs Muir is always inquiring about
him, push him here if you can John Bouroughs sic. . No chance I suppose of seeing you here this summer, we are just aching
to show our appreciation of your wonderous goodness to me last year. How is Alaska coming on? You have not told me whether
you liked the changes I made in the articles. I have written five new chapters for the book, believe I'll now just stop though
much more demands addmit ance . Ever truly your friend John Muir10013/ oo 3
