about the time I received your last - he is still in Cal - in good health and spirits - hop picking has again commenced this
season the hop growers offer only half the money for picking that they gave last year - many of them have still last years
hops on hand I was much pleased to see the new Presbyterian church that has been put up this summer, it stands on the hill,
at the east end of the grave yard, near Sutend what a great number of graves are now there - and how will I remember of seeing
the first that was made there - several of the old settlers have died lately we have much need to improve the precious moments
as they pass seeing we know not what a day or a night may bring forth - That God will ever bless you and keep you is the sincere
