Another cold blustering day. Goodskating on the [Polirmac] have an invitation to go this evening. Shall accept, at work as
usual in the Office. War news good but rather meager, No news from home or anybody. This evening our Debating Club assembled
and proceeded debate on the Question. Resolved that Slavery should be abolished, took first were the affirmative Debate good
and quite exciting, decided for the Affirmation, after. Debate - went with two gentleman friends and three ladies to the [illegible]
forced the skating splendid grand times, and one or two tumbled down.
