Gold going down down down today reported at $1.54 1/4. Good letter from my friend and (4) schoolmate Leibbie to Hedges. also answered the same. felt-very ill today could not do any work. felt better in the evening. ---------------------------------- Wednesday, March 22. A warm very pleasant day. War news very good, Sheridan at the White House Va, Sherman at Goldsborough NC. Gold going down, down, down, today reported at $1.54¼. Good letter from my friend and schoolmate Libbie E. Hedges, also answered the same. Felt very ill today could not do any work, felt better in the evening.
