[written above date] Stanton General Hospital Washington D.C. Beautiful sunny day. The good Sisters of Mercy who have a long and faithfully attended to the sick and wounded inmates of this Hospital left us today. God will bless their noble efforts to allevite pain and suffering by attending gently and kindy to the wants of the unfortunate; although of a different sect-their good deeds will ever by remembered, especially Sister Dr Rici. Hard at work today printed 175 copies of dispinsary Reports. and 100 copies Guard Reports, War news very mearpe, but [Illegible] received letter from (3) Cousin Phenie. Our division of S.G.L. met this evening was installed as Treasurer acted as Past W.P. from person initiated. Feel very well today, no news from home. -------------------------------- Wednesday, March 1. Beautiful sunny day. God will bless their noble efforts to alleviate pain and suffering by attending gently and kindly to the wants of the unfortunate, although of a different sect their good deeds will ever be remembered, especially Sister DeRici. Hard at work today, printed 175 copies of Dispensary Reports & 100 copies of guard reports. War news very meagre but good, received letter from cousin Phenie. Our division of the S of T met this evening, was installed as Treasurer, acted as Past VP, four persons initiated. Feel very well today, no news from home.
