[written above date]: Rochester, N. Y. Number 16th [illegible] "Sinners against their own souls" [illegible] of Rev. R. M. [Norts], a very able interesting address. In the evening, attended the Central Church and listened to a sermon by Prof. Northop [illegible] Psalm XCVI-1 verse "Oh sing untoth Lord a new song" his [discourse] was a very good interesting one. I am feeling very lonely to night. how I wish my darling Judith my wife, was with me. I could not feel so were she here, a kiss for her.
