Martinez, California December 18th 1906 My Dear cousin Margaret Hay Lunam. I think you got a letter from me soon after
sending yours of Nov. 23d in which I gave you the California home news etc. We are all as usual now except Margaret who has
the grippe or influenza She was very ill for a few days but is now much better I am sending you today fifty dollars, 25 for
the Dunbar poor 25 for you Maggie as a christmas gift with which to get any little thing you best like. Helen is getting through
the winter very hopefully. With love to you all I am ever affectionately your Cousin John Muir 03789
