Muir.Esq., Martinez, California. Dear Sir:- The American Alpine Club is in receipt of an invitation from theHon.Walter
I.Fisher,Secretary of the Interior,to participate in a conference of superintendents of National Parks, government officials
conneoted therewith,representatives of the railroads having to do with the transportation of tourists to the parks, etc.,
to be held at the Yosemite National Park, California, beginning on or about Oct. 7th next to continue for about three days.The
Seoretary says in part, The Chief Clerk of the Department, Mr. Clement S. Uoker, will act as secretary of the conference and
will arrange the various details. At a later date he will advise those who expect to attend regardlng the exact date and place
of meeting, hotel accommodations, rates, et cetera,and will furnish all necessary information relative to the conference and
the stay in the park. Persons attending the conference will make their own arrangements for transportation to and returning
from the parks As the one of all our members whose name most intimately associated with the Yosemite National Park, Justice
