1919 SIXTEENTH STREET WASHINGTON,D.C. May 9, 1911. Mr. David G. Muir, Pacific Grove, Calif. Dear Brother David:
I am in Washington for a week or ten days doing what I can on the Hetch Hetchy case. I am sorry that Sarah and Annie Eastman's
visit to Los Angeles could not have been made a week or two earlier, so that I could have seen them when I was writing at
J. D. Hooker's residence. Before leaving Los Angeles however I visited your daughter Carrie. When I return from a trip that
may last most of the year in South America, I will be glad to call on Mrs. Foster as you suggest. With kind regards to all
