Description:
Color slide showing an American flag, spectators, and race officials during the Cycling Road Race of the 1984 Summer Olympic
Games. The photograph was taken near the intersection of Marguerite Parkway and O'Neill Road in Mission Viejo, California.
O'Neill Road was later named Olympiad Road in commemoration of this Olympic event. There is a large American flag hanging
between two trees at the lower left side of the photograph. On the right side of the photograph are spectators standing behind
white meshed fencing. The racecourse is not visilbe in the photograph, but it would be on the left side; next to it are three
orange traffic cones and race officials standing in the empty space between the crowd and the racecourse. At the top of the
slide is a label with "84-009, Frame 058" typed on it. At the bottom of the slide is written "camjl 233" in pencil and, in
typescript, "20, Jul84H9."
