Martinez Oct 29, 1913 Dear Mrs Parsons, I'm afraid I'm putting you to too much trouble in finding a girl to help Helen
I fancied you might know some one that might care to go to Daggett for a few months simply to assist Helen in caring for her
baby especially at night. There would be no difficulty about wages. But I would not advertise or seek for a servant at intelligence
offices. I have had experience - lots of it at such places never succeeded in finding a single good servant all were utter
failures. If purchance you should find a promising girl ask her to call at the Club room Mills? Bldg I'll meet her their make
all arrangements Helen does not know that I'm seeking help for her, I wrote to her a week ago telling her to get someone to
lift the baby at night etc at any cost. She wrote that her health is steadily improving. I write again for particulars about
her house help. let you know. With warm thanks for your kindness faithfully yours John Muir
