for so long. Tell Wanda not to forget to have Fong carry out the collected rain water in the garret and see that the doors
and windows are all kept closed. All is serene down here and I am hack in the garret and hard at work as ever. I will probably
be again with you about the middle of next month. The Roosevelt dinner and lecture comes off on the 21st. It will no doubt
be a pleasant affair, though I fear I will have but very little time to talk with Mr. Roosevelt on the subject of the preservation
of national Parks, etc. I have received a letter from Mr. Edward Coffin, in which he states he has sent me a copy of the
Camp-fire Club Year Book. I wish you would have this forwarded, and also all of the proof sheets of, My First Summer in the
Sierra. I have received two or three lots forwarded since my arrival. Be sure to tell the Postmaster that my address here,
C/o J. D. Hooker, is not 324 West Adams st., as the last of the forwarded letters were addressed, but is 325 West Adams Street.
Be sure to have this number corrected. Ever faithfully yours, John Muir 04976
