City. My dear Mr. Johnson: Tours of the 18th instant has been received, for which I thank you very much. I will consult
with the President in regard to the matter of the reservation. I have directed the Chief Clerk to send you an advance copy
o f my annual report, from which you will perceive I have noticed the article in the Century. You will also observe that I
do not approve of Captain Wood's suggestion as to curtailing a part of the Yosemitu Park, but make a suggastion of a less
quantity, to be restored to the public domain. I thank you very much for your good words of encouragement in the January
