St Kilda York Road Ed illegible . 21/4/06 Dear Mr. Muir I only received your letter of 19 th.? Febry. from Adamana
was sorry to hear about Helen but hope she is keeping much better now gaining strength- I hope your other daughter Wanda who
lives much in San Francisco was not there during these frightful days of earthquake fire shall be glad to hear she is safe
- Also that your property and relations in your valley near Martinez are all safe - a post card on receipt of this will do.
I am not very well at present which accounts for this scrawl but cannot resist writing to you by today's mail so please excuse
more? at present from yours sincerely James Murdoch P.S. I send with this a Newspaper with an account by Hall Caine of
