WILLIAM F. HERRIN FLOOD BUILDING SAN FRANCISCO April 28,1908. My dear Mr. Muir:-- I would like very much if you would
take lunch with me at the Fairmont on May 6th, the day the Fleet arrives. I have a room from which wo can get a good view
of the Fleet as It arrives for anchorage and I would like to have you join me at luncheon,so that we can enjoy the sight as
well as some good cheer. I also want to arrange with you for our Mexican trip, which has been postponed much longer than I
expected when we first talked about it. Very truly yours, illegible Mr. John Muir, Martinez,Cal. 04164
