Simon Morgan House
San Marcos (Calif.) -- Historical Houses
Description:
Simon Morgan was a member of the “Illinois Colony” a group of immigrants to from Illinois who moved together to San Marcos
around the turn of century and built houses in the same area. This is one of the houses Morgan built in the area, a two story
Victorian located at the end of Knob Hill Rd. The house was built in the late 1800s or early 1900s and was falling into disrepair,
in fact it was only days away from being a fire department exercise when Tom Young bought it and began to restore it to its
previous glory in 1982.
