4 I sent you a little remembrance which I hope will prove as much of a convenience for you as the one I have has been for
me for I at once gathered my clippings and now know jsut where to find what I want easily. I did not label the envelopes as
mine are, thinking you might want them different. I might have knit you a pair of socks as in the days of old but they would
be of no use to you now that you are not tramping among the mountains in the frost and snow. And now again best wishes both
for the day and the year. Affectionately your sister Sarah 1 Pacific Grove, Calif. Decr. 24 - 1908 My dear Brother
John I wish for you a happy Christmas, and all good wishes for the coming year, may it hold for you much that will bring
comfort and gladness. We all have so much to be thankful and grateful for each passing year we can go hopefully forward trusting
in our kind heavenly Father for the days as they come. We of the clan here are all well and enjoying the fine bright days.
