it seems to me I, too, know the man who wrote it. It required a big, splendid courage to brave the dangers of that glacier
and it was a big, fatherly heart that took in little Stickeen, and cheered him over the dreadful crevasse. I am glad to
shake hands with you, Mr. John Muir - even across so many miles, and I thank you sincerely for your letter and Stickeen.
