Wednesday, 21st 1913 Darling Helen, Your twin letters just received. You can't write too often but I don't want you to
feel that you must write every day except when you are sick - then only a word like this Am better . or All goes well. Or
my bones are getting buried again in new frisky flesh or my face is rosy once more like a desert mountain at sundown, so are
the faces of my boy angels. etc etc. And once a week or even two weeks, a page or double pages letter for which you need
no model. Ever Your devoted father John Muir
