Berkeley Cal Oct 20 1894 My Dear Mr. Muir I was really greatly disappointed that I could not go this morning. I could
not even get down to the telegraph office to telegraph you until 11 1/2 AM. when the storm began to slacken. I can only hope
for better luck next time. You said something about lack of glaciers mountains. I herewith send you a copy of my A. A. A.
S. address on the theories of the origin of mountains. We will talk yet when I see you. I would try again next Saturday but
