J. letterhead 1908 May 9. Dear Muir: See these letters. I've done everything I could to block Phelan's game,
sending to the President, Garfield, and Pinchot letters from Bourne, Colby, Robinson yourself, and backing them up. I fear
that we have lost. I go to the White House Conference next week. How I'd like to see you again Faithfully yours, Mr
