San Francisco Mar 4 1888 Professor Muir Dear Sir Your letter was duly rec.d with check enclosed for 500. five hundred
dollars to settle for the Painting of Muir Glacier which I have delivered the memo illegible as you directed. I ride home
here for the Mountains about eight Monday. Thanking you very much I remain with kindest regards to yourself and Wife very
