Home May 9, /08 Darling Helen, I sent you a box of flowers today mostly sweet briar to perfume your little Den. You can
have no idea how rich in color luxuriant the garden is. Fong kept in fine order free of weeds, He is now thinning peaches,
There will be a big crop. Your Martinez house had a small fire in the roof a week or two ago, damage about 150- but as it
was insured for 600 you will lose nothing, not even in rent for the Woods continued to occupy it while the new roof was being
put on - Wanda will sign the deeds in a day or two. But she does not want the Home, for it would run her into debt too much
etc. Dont bother your head anyhow as you are all right dont make any business with Wanda when she is visiting. Just enjoy
yourselves like little girls Ever loving John Muir
