Photograph of History of Transportation Mural, created in 1940 with support from the WPA (Works Progress Administration).
The spectacular petrachrome mural wall, (8 feet high and 24l feet long) was designed by Helen Lundeberg with the assistance
of Donald Totten. The mural depicts a parade of life-size figures beginning with the early Native Americans and Spanish horsemen
to the pre-World War II period of turbo-prop planes. Dedication plaque inscription in foreground reads "History of Transportation
erected in 1940 by City of Inglewood in memory of the pioneers of Centinela Valley."
