is vary desirable, however, that anything you may wish to present in opposition to the matters presented by the Cith should
be filed as promptly as possible, so that the City may prepare its rejoinder and the whole matter be set for oral hearing.
The Secretary has, therefore, instructed me to notify you to send to him at the Department of the Interior, Washington, D.
C., by October 15th a concise statement of any matter you may wish to have filed in the case, although you may send a more
detailed statement or argument, if you desire to do so, by November 1st. The purpose of asking you for a concise statement
by October 15th is that this may be presented to the City, so that it may be advised and may at once make preparation for
the oral argument. The City will be given until November 15th in which to file anything further it may desire to presont by
way of rejoinder and the oral argument will be set before the Secretary here at this office In Washington, D. C. , on November
