Wednesday, December 1,1891 Dear John: Wanda is a little better, but the rest of us are complaining more or less. A wild
wind blew last night and this afternoon is cold, so cold. Helen and I took Aunt Margaret to ride this morning and it was warm
and delightful in the upper vineyard. Mrs. Cornwall died last night from pneumonia, and Mr. C. and John are both very sick
with la grippe. I hope your new room is comfortable. We will be at the train for you Saturday evening. When we told little
Helen that you were coming Saturday, she said, But just the trouble of it that I have to wait till night, it's so long Let
us hear about Mr. Kennan. A letter from R. U. Johnson about the letters you sent him.He likes Nicholas Brown's plan. Wants
to know if possibly Stow may need watching. Louie Muir. You forgot about the taxes. How about the Potrero lots? Will Magee
pay the taxes? I drew money from Bank and paid them. Martinez, December 1, 1891. My dear Papa: I hope you are well.

fat, and her eye is all right now. Dompeadro has gone home. Elfie sleeps down cellar now. Lilian is very lonesome without
you. I am tired sitting up, so goodbye. Annie Wanda Muir Both letters written on same sheet of paper
