Dear Mr. Muir Your letter of the 21st is at hand and its contents noted. In talking with Mr.Olney he seemed to think that
Judge Beatty was too busy a man to put on the Committee of Parks and Reservations. I would suggest the name of W. C. Belcher
of the law firm of Mastick, Belcher and Mastick. He it a friend of Mr.Olney's and interested in the Club. You may know him
personally as he is a person of considerable prominence. A letter from Mr.Johnson of the Century addressed to the Directors
it at hand. He urges that we considermthe subject of recession and institute a popular movement in its favor. Mr.Olney and
I talked over the best method and of presenting thismatter to the Directors so as to ascertain their sentiments. Hethought
my suggestion good, that is to send a copy of theletter to each of the Directors calling for an expression ofopinion as to
whether we should make definite moves in thismatter, of them decide on a meeting. A Directors meeting it to difficult, that
this seems the only method; and with your approval I till carry it out. Should you be in towns on Saturday, I will meet you
at the University Club about one o'clock. Yours truly illegible
