Daggett, Cal. May 3 - 1908 Dear Papa We have had quite a storm. Yesterday afternoon it rained some here in the valley,
and when the clouds lifted toward evening we saw that it had snowed on the mountains to the south. All night the wind fairly
roared, and it was cold, but this morning is much warmer and tho' still windy, the sun is bright. I got into warm clothes
yesterday for I felt a change coming, and last night I had lots of blankets, so Ive not minded the weather. Being Sunday,
we all got up late this morning and Ive just finished a big breakfast - my appetite holds good. In your letter that came
yesterday you wanted me to tell you just how I stand now. In general health I feel splendid - am steadily growing stronger
and more like my old healthy 04171
