letterhead ADAMANA, ARIZ., Feb. 19, 1906 Dear Mr Murdock: I thank you for your kind sympathetic letter of last September.
Only those who have suffered the same loss can possibly understand its influence. I had to make haste to my daughter Helen
who had a dangerous relapse after a severe attack of pneumonia. She has been here ever since our sad loss, though much better
now seemingly well on the way toward complete recovery she is still a source of great anxiety care, may have to remain in
Arizona for another year or more. Either Wanda or I has always been with her, most of the time we are both here. I have of
course done no literary work since August, but am beginning 03607
