I have been impressed with the importance of saving this group of bison for the American people, and I have taken the liberty
of placing your name upon a committee for the purpose of setting the wheels in motion which will eventually put this herd
in the hands of the National Government, along with the natural range upon which they now live and have prospered for a number
of years. The real work of the committee will devolve upon three members, to be named by the entire committee. I believe
