3 and the streets were just as wet as they could possibly be. some of the girls who insisted on wearing long skirts were
pretty well soaked by the time they reached home but as I wore my thick short skirt and heavy shoes and jacket I didn't mind
it at all. Is Aunt Margaret feeling any better than when Helen wrote? And how are you? don't work so hard. It must have been
awful for Papa to have so many teeth taken out at once, I hope he is able to eat something besides spoon vittles by this time.
The box of flowers and good things to eat was much enjoyed I still have a good many nice lemons left and the gereniums are
still fresh but all the 4 other things are gone. Every thing has gone smoothly and pleasantly this week except that Miss
Ransom would not let me go to Florence Haydens tea, she lives just a little way from here and I pass there every time I come
home and quite often through the week but Miss Ransom felt cross so she told me that as I had nobody to go with I had better
stay and study Latin. My lessons have been easy this week so I have been able to learn them without any trouble notwithstanding
all the other things that have been going on. I am very well and have not got a cold and am not getting up early in the morning
so you need not worry any about me
