TO TRUST DEPARTMENT. Mr. John Muir, Martinez, Cal. My Dear Friend:- Wife and I left here last Christmas day for Europe,
and have just returned. We have not forgotton our invitation extended to you winter before last, that you and your family
visit us during the World's Fair. You promised us then that you would come, and we are going to hold you to that promise,
and want you to bring all of your family that can come, and stay with us, at least, two weeks. As you and Mr. Keith,of all
our friends, have the farthest to come, we desire that you should select your own time, and let us know as soon as possible,
as we wish to assign our other friends dates that will not conflict with yours. I have written to Mr. Keith, and enclose the
letter with this, as I do not remember his new number, and must ask that you kindly forward or deliver him the enclosed letter.
If only you and Mrs. Muir come, I hope Mr. Keith and his wife can come with you, as I think it will be more pleasant for you
both, and we have two spare bed rooms. Mrs. Sellers joins me in kind regards to you and your family, and hoping to hear from
you soon, I remain, Yours truly, 01441
