Home, Sep. 21, 1908 Darling Helen, Tom brought glowing accounts of your good health good looks, corroborating all your
own bright letters. I was just starting for the train for a promised visit to Mr Kent so did see Mary Van Dyke; for which
I am sorry For I wanted to get the chance to show how deeply I felt the debt of gratitude we owe to her father. Tom took her
to the train Sunday evening she should reach Grants Pass this afternoon. I had a charming time with the Kents, visited the
Muir Woods Muir tavern adjacent region got home last eve. now for work. I'm sending deed for your signature. return it as
soon as you can There are three others to be made out soon, quite a lot of other confounded business to hold me here, but
