Martinez, Cal. Aug. 22/07 Dear Mr Calkins; I am very glad you are so soon to be with us. Come straight to our house stay
until you get one of your own or get tired of us. My daughter Helen is all that's left of the family since her sister married
we two are keeping house here. We were in Arizona more than a year - got home about a year ago . repaired the earthquake-shaken
house have made at least a fairly good camp of the place. Helen I'm happy to say is now about as well as ever. I'll be at
home from Sep. 20 to Oct. 15 as far as I can now see. Let me know later when to expect your arrival. Ever faithfully yours
