I am greatly surprised to see by the papers that you have resigned the editorship of THE CENTURY. What does all this mean?
Do write me a letter. We have a lot of Hetch-Hetchy work to do. I suppose no matter where you are or what your duties may
be that you can never cease to be interested in the forest and park work. Trusting that whatever change may have occurred
that all will be for the best, I am, dear Johnson, Ever faithfully yours, illegible BANCROFT LIBRARY
